Pre-trip Info

General Information
After your registration is confirmed, we will send you, via email, an important packet of pre-trip information.  Please take a moment to look through it as it contains helpful information that will make your trip easier and more enjoyable.  The pre-trip packets typically include:

     • Pre-departure checklist
     • Visa information
     • Travel insurance information
     • Suggested packing list

Travel Insurance
Travel insurance products from our preferred provder, Squaremouth, can be found here.  Travel insurance is required on all Katan Adventures and is a part of the Terms and Conditions  you agree to when booking with us. When selecting a travel insurance policy we require that at a minimum you are covered for medical expenses including emergency repatriation. We strongly recommend that the policy also covers personal liability, cancellation, curtailment and loss of luggage and personal effects.
This will not only guarantee you peace of mind while you travel with Katan Adventures but also covers you for many of the things that can go wrong while overseas.
You will need to present your insurance policy to your trip leader on the first day of the trip.  Failure to do so will mean exclusion from the trip. Please ensure you have your policy number and emergency telephone number for your insurance company. If this is unavailable please ensure you have the necessary information required by your insurance company in case of an emergency.
We also recommend you take out cancellation insurance. This may cover cancellation penalties in certain circumstances if you have to cancel your trip unexpectedly due to illness, injury or unforeseen circumstances. Unfortunately cancellation insurance will not cover you if you change your mind.
