Katan Adventures Partners With Terrapass

We are pleased to announce that, as of June 23, 2008, Katan Adventures has partnered with Terrapass to balance all of our participants carbon emissions from air and ground transportation when travelling on a Katan Adventure.  This includes international flights!  In looking for a partner, we wanted to ensure that whoever we entrusted to the task of offsetting our carbon expenditures was an established player in the field.  With Terrapass, we believe have found the best.  Since 2004, Terrapass carbon offsets have been funding clean energy and carbon reduction projects throughout the U.S., including windpower, farm power, and landfill gas capture.  To date, their customers have reduced more than 900 million pounds of carbon dioxide emissions!

At Katan Adventures, we are always looking for ways to make our travel experiences more environmentally friendly and our partnership with Terrapass is another step in this direction.  Please see our EcoloJEWcal section for more on our efforts on behalf of good old Mother Earth.
